Game Requirements

1. 3 stage Multicache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
A 3 stage multicache is defined as having three stages. ie. A first stage where you collect information or find a cache container which will lead you to a second stage, a second stage where you collect information or find a cache container which will lead you to a third stage and a third stage which is the cache containing the log book. Multicaches which have more than three stages are also eligible to claim this requirement.

2. Any Geocaching Australia Cache - Find - 2 Points + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any physical cache which is listed on Geocaching Australia. Virtual and locationless caches on Geocaching Australia are not eligible to claim this requirement. This requirement is exempt from the rule that the date the cache was hidden must be prior to the start of the game. A Geocaching Australia cache has a "GA" prefix. Clarification added 6th June 8:00pm game time.

3. Moving Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
A moving cache is any cache that can be moved by the finder. These may be geocaching.com caches or Geocaching Australia caches. You must abide by the requirements of the cache, which will include rehiding the cache in another location to claim this requirement. This requirement is exempt from the rule that the date the cache was hidden must be prior to the start of the game. Requirement modified 24th June 4:00pm game time.

4. Geocaching Australia Locationless Cache - Find - 12 Points Outright
Log any Locationless cache which is listed on Geocaching Australia. You must abide by the requirements of the cache to claim this requirement. A Geocaching Australia cache has a "GA" prefix. Clarification added 6th June 8:00pm game time.

5. Australian Heritage Cache - Find - 12 Points Outright
Australian Heritage Locationless Cache by Partic
You must abide by the requirements of this cache to claim this requirement.
Due to Australian Heritage being a specifically listed cache against a requirement, a 2nd find or a note against Australian Heritage can be claimed for this game. Clarification added 5th June 2006 10:00pm game time.

6. Unknown (Puzzle or Mystery) Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any Unknown (Puzzle or Mystery) cache to claim this requirement.

7. Traditional Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any Traditional cache to claim this requirement.

8. Kid Friendly Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that displays a kid friendly icon on the cache page to claim this requirement. If the kid friendly icon is not present when your log is verified then you log will not be honoured. The icon need not be part of the geocaching.com attributes list. Kid friendly icons anywhere on the cache page are acceptable.

9. Wheelchair Accessible Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that displays an wheelchair accessible icon on the cache page to claim this requirement. If the wheelchair accessible icon is not present when your log is verified then you log will not be honoured. The icon need not be part of the geocaching.com attributes list. Wheelchair accessible icons anywhere on the cache page are acceptable.

10. Cache where Difficulty plus Terrain add to 8 - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type where the sum of the terrain and difficulty add to 8 to claim this requirement. 7 shall not be the number of counting, nor shall 9. 8 is the number and the number shall be 8. 10 is right out. For example, a difficulty 3 and terrain 5 will qualify. A difficulty of 4.5 and a terrain of 3.5 also qualifies. A difficulty of 4 and a terrain of 4 also qualifies. A difficulty of 3.5 and a terrain of 5 does not qualify as it add up to more than 8.

11. Cache that Requires a Photograph - Find (and post photograph to cache page) - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that requires you to post a photograph as part of the description or as a normal requirement of the cache to claim this requirement. A webcam cache is typical of this requirement, but any cache that meets the photo requirement is acceptable. Your photo must be logged on the cache page at geocaching.com or included in your log at Geocaching Australia.

12. Political Theme Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that has Political theme to claim this requirement. Examples include houses of parliament (federal or state), statues or busts of politicians, other political themes of the cache.

13. Anniversary Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that celebrates an anniversary and the anniversary is mentioned in the cache description to claim this requirement. Lateral thinking is encouraged on this cache.

14. Cache with a View - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that has the word view in the title to claim this requirement.

15. Driveby Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type where you parked your registered vehicle (car, truck, motor cycle, humvee, helicopter, etc) less than 10 meters from the cache to claim this requirement. 4WD accessible or motor cycle parking is acceptable. You are free to approach by bicycle if that's your style, but you must also be able to park your registered vehicle less than 10 meters from the cache. Any logs that indicate that a breach of the law occurred, or could reasonably infer that a breach of the law occurred will not be honoured. Clarification added 7th June 2006 7:30pm game time.

16. Series Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that is part of a series to claim this requirement. The series must be clearly stated in either the title or cache description. It does not have to be a multicache or part of a series where you need to collect clues from each component of the series. You only need to collect one cache in the series. The series needs to be placed by a single cacher. Clarification added 3rd June 2006 10:00am game time.

17. First Fleet / Old Sailing Ships - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that relates to the first fleet or old sailing ships and the cache description makes that clear to claim this requirement.

18. Native Animal or Plant Related Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that is directly related to a native animal or native plant to claim this requirement. The name of a native animal or native plant must appear in the description and the cache must be related to a native animal or native plant.

19. Geocaching Australia Cache - Hide - 12 Points Outright
Hide a physical cache according to the guidelines at Geocaching Australia to claim this requirement. This requirement is exempt from the rule that the date the cache was hidden must be prior to the start of the game. A Geocaching Australia cache has a "GA" prefix. Clarification added 6th June 8:00pm game time.

20. Move a Geocoin - 6 Points Outright
Move a geocoin from any cache to any other cache to claim this requirement. A travel bug is not a geocoin. When logging your requirement, please use the cache details for the cache you moved the Geocoin into. You may move a coin from a cache you have already found, but the cache you move the coin into must be a cache you have not previously found. Clarification added 3rd June 2006 10:00am game time.

21. 1788 to 1901 Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type where the numbers 1788 or 1901 appear in that order anywhere in the co-ordinates as published to claim this requirement. The numbers may not run across the two sets of co-ordinates but must be contained in either the latitude or longitude. Muticache intermediate or final waypoints, or unknown (mystery or puzzle) caches do not qualify. The numbers do not need to appear sequentially, but they need to appear in order. eg. 37 15.788 would quality as the numbers 1788 appear in order, even though they are not sequential.

22. Cache with a Mate - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type with a fellow geocacher to claim this requirement. A fellow geocacher is someone who has a registered geocaching identity either on geocaching.com or Geocaching Australia and that identity was registered prior to the commencement of the game. Your logs must indicate that you were caching with that mate and both of your logs must be entered on the same day on the same cache. It is not necessary that both of you are participating in this game. A geocacher who is also a member of your family or household is acceptable as long as they have a separate registered geocaching identity.

23. Cache After Dark - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache of any type that requires you to find the cache after dark or log any cache that you find after midnight and before 5:00am to claim this requirement. If the cache description states that the cache can only be completed after dark then your log must indicate that you followed the cache requirements. If you just find a cache after midnight and before 5:00am (and it is not a mandatory after dark cache) then your log must include photographic proof of the time that you completed the cache.

24. Maintain a Cache - 6 Points Outright
Log any cache of any type that you undertook maintenance on to claim this requirement. Maintenance can be anything from something as simple as replenishing the cache contents, wiping the cache out and restoring it to its former glory to completely replacing a damaged / broken container. Previous logs must clearly state that the cache container was in disrepair or that the contents had diminished over time.

25. Convict Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any cache with a clear relationship in the cache description to convicts, criminals or bush-rangers to claim this requirement. Caches that are named for jails or have the word jail in the title are acceptable. Politicians do not count for this requirement

26. Geocaching History Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log a physical cache that has a historical relationship to geocaching to claim this requirement. It might be the oldest remaining cache in an area, the first cache in an area/state, the first maccamob cache ever placed, etc. You are encouraged to think laterally on this cache.

27. Event - Host or Attend - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Host or attend an event to claim for this requirement. If you wish to make a claim against a geocaching.com event then the event must have been listed prior to the commencement of the game. If you wish to make a claim against a Geocaching Australia event, then this requirement is exempt from the rule that the date the event was hidden must be prior to the start of the game. 28. Fleet to Federation (FF) Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any physical cache that has two letter F's in the waypoint code or in the cache name to claim this requirement. The two letter F's can appear anywhere in the waypoint code or cache name. ie. They do not need to appear next to each other. GCRHFF qualifies, as would GCF2F2 or GCTF2F.

29. Departure to Arrival Cache - Find - 1 Point + (Difficulty * Terrain)
The first fleet left Portsmouth, England on the 13th of May and the 'Supply' arrived in Botany Bay on the 18th of January. Find any physical cache hidden OR published on the 13th or 18th of any month to claim this requirement.

30. Unloved Cache - Find - 6 Points + (Difficulty * Terrain)
Log any physical cache that has not been found in the preceding 90 days to claim this requirement.
